The Old English Apollonius Of Tyre

The Old English version of Apollonius of Tyre has not been made generally available to students of old English literature and the text is little known. The book therefore aims at filling a conspicuous gap in Old English studies. Besides the Old English text the Latin source is also provided and this together with a commentary and glossary is intended to assist the reader to a clear and detailed understanding and of the text. The literary history of the story is discussed in the introduction, where an analysis of special linguistic features is also to be found.
