Bordewijk-prijs (1992) for <i>De dood als meisje van acht</i><br />- Frans Erensprijs (1995) for his œuvre<br />- Pierre Bayle-prijs (1999) for his work as a critic<br />- Constantijn Huygens-prijs (2006) for his œuvre<br /><br />He also published as Jacq Vogelaar and J.F. Vogelaar, and he published one book under another pseudonym: <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/18652382.Koba_Swart" title="Koba Swart" rel="nofollow noopener">Koba Swart</a>.
